
Byron is the research and project lead for Sports Medical at Skins IR. Byron is young, ambitious and a real asset to the Skins team.
Byron has a broad background in sport having played county hockey for Oxfordshire as a junior and rugby for Bury St Edmunds with an offer of a semi-professional contract prior to University.
Byron studied ‘Strength and Conditioning Science’ (Hons Degree) at St Marys University in London, and prior to this achieved a Health and Medical, Diploma (distinction). Byron also holds a Personal Training Certificate with Premier Global.
During his time at St Mary’s University Byron had access to work experience with a selection of clubs and organisations from a variety of sports, including Crystal Palace FC, Fulham FC, London Irish RFC, University London Boat Club and Sutton Tennis Academy as well as the world-renowned Royal Ballet Company and Royal Ballet School in central London. These links enabled Byron to obtain the necessary coaching experience required for elite level sport.
Byron has been involved with Thermography for over 5 years having undertaken research in rugby with Sporttherm as the assistant researcher in various projects.
Byron has gone from operations/research assistant at SportTherm to research and development lead for the Sports Medical department at Skins IR.
